Training with Gardens Swimming Club

Gardens Swimming Club members train at the Long Tan Memorial Pool in Heatley.

Depending on the squad level, training consists of swimming as well as dry-land training. Fantastic use is made of the facilities available.

Love2Swim School will provide coaching to Gardens Club members. Training questions are to be directed to the coach and squad training payments paid to the Long Tan Memorial Pool.

The coaches at Long Tan Memorial Pool are employees of Love2Swim – which is a separate entity to the Gardens Swimming Club. Therefore, when any number of the Love2Swim swimming coaches attends an official meet to support and mentor the Gardens swimmers, a fee is charged to each swimmer in order to subsidise the costs of hiring the coaches plus their associated costs such as accommodation and petrol costs if it is an out-of-town meet. This cost is currently $3.00 per nominated event (race) on Swim Central which a swimmer is entered.

As swim meets are released, it will be advised via email from the Gardens Secretary & Nominations Race Secretary if there will be Love2Swim coaches in attendance at each meet.

The total of the coaches’ fee per swimmer is payable to the club prior to attending each swim meet. Payment of the fee per nominated event in Swim Central is to be made directly into the Gardens Bank Account.
